Jefferson

Gaye had an awesome opportunity that comes by only once in a lifetime. She was able to meet her Compassion sponsor child, Jefferson. Gaye and Brad have been sponsoring their child from Guatemala City for several years. They never thought they would have the opportunity to meet him on this earth. That all changed when Gaye decided to join the team to Guatemala. She made a call to Compassion and they were able to schedule a special meeting between her and Jefferson at the Children's Home.

Jefferson came with his father and a Compassion worker to meet Gaye. They were able to spend lots of time together. They even got to play soccer with Val. I happened to be standing with them when Gaye share how special Jefferson was to her and Brad. When she told him his picture was hanging on the refridgerator with her own children, Jefferson was overcome with emotion and cried. Jefferson's mother died when he was only two and his father had to quit his job to care for Jefferson and his older sister.

I'm so glad that Gaye got the chance to meet Jefferson! It was a blessing to both her and Jefferson.
